Action platformer games have always appealed to a lot of gamers due to their fun factor, challenge and flexibility. This has been one of the longest running gaming genres there is and has solidified itself in the industry which is why game developers always aim to release bigger and better action platformers. With that, a sequel to a successful action adventure game for the PS2 is now under development known as Brave. There is no official news on when Brave: A Warrior’s Tale on sale will come out yet, so for those who are not willing to dish out a lot of money for action adventure games would have to wait a while for a used Brave: A Warrior’s Tale.
The game’s main character which you control is a Native American boy named Brave. The plot of the story starts when your village is attacked and you must now quest to become a shaman in order to save your love ones. From the start of the game, you have two main weapons you can use in order to dispose of any threat, a handy axe and a bow. Ammunition for the bow however is limited so this means you will spend more time using your axe. But, as the game progresses you will have the opportunity to transform into different animals. Brave: A Warrior’s Tale review reveals that there are six animals in which you can transform into. One confirmed animal which you can expect is a bear where you can pound your enemies with your paw and even scare them away with a mighty roar. Plus, you get the chance to swallow them whole.

Of course, as an action platformer game you would expect to do a lot of jumping around and platforming plus a lot of combat situations. The game sticks true to its genre but there is a twist. At one point in the game you will be able to ride an eagle and even control it when you get to your destination. Some light puzzle solving skills are also required to play the game in order to get pass some of the obstacles set forth in the game.
When Brave: A Warrior’s Tale for sale in stores finally comes out, it will also include the full version of its predecessor with new maps and features. There are also two other playable characters in the game which has yet to be revealed by the game developers. However, you shouldn’t expect any multiplayer option for the game, at least the main quest can last about eleven hours of game play.
You will get the chace to buy Brave: A Warrior’s Tale on three different platforms namely Xbox 360, Wii and PS3. A PSP version is also under way as well. Speculation about the release of the game is around fall of this year so it may come sooner than expected. However, for those who prefer more serious games, this may not be for you as it is aimed at a younger audience.
