Final Fantasy XIII is an unreleased console role playing game under development from Square Enix. It first appeared in the 2006 E3 featuring a futuristic, and hi-tech world. Anticipating gamers would get a hold of Final Fantasy XIII on sale this 2009 though the exact release date is not yet revealed. A playable demo of the game is said to be include in the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, which is set to be released on March 2009 in Japan.
Story
The plot centers on the race called fal’Cie. About thirteen hundred years ago, a legendary Crystal told the fal’Cie to build a place for humanity. The city of Cocoon was built floating high above the world called Pulse. It was sustained by a Crystal of its own. The Crystal produced life forms and certain machines to be used by its inhabitants. Humanity flourished because of this. Eventually, the citizens of Cocoon started to get alarmed of their safety and that of that of their world. They were also worried that their world would fall from the sky. At present, the wasteland of Pulse is giving weird effects on people. The go-controlled Holy Government of Cocoon vanishes anyone were controlled by Pulse with the help of its mighty army. A woman codenamed Lightning is selected by the fal’Cie to be the l’Cie, and an enemy of humanity to make possible the demise of Cocoon.

Characters
The full list of Final Fantasy XIII is knot yet known. There are characters that were revealed in trailers and promotional information.
Lightning – is a former military that is chosen by the crystal to have a very special mission for the humanity. She uses a weapon that is a cross between a sword and a gun than can be used to manipulate gravity. .
Snow-villiers – is blonde man who wears bandana riding the motorcycle for of the spirit of Shiva sisters.
Oerba Dia Vanille – A girl that wears her red hair in pigtails. She was captured by the Cocoon army and was seen walking in funeral procession. She holds a weapon that resembles a modern-day bow. She is seen with an ally called Carbuncle.
Sazh Katzroy – is a black man that wears an afro. He is known by lightning from her days in the army. Sazh uses dual pistols and sports a baby chocobo pet. He is described to be a caring man who easily shed tears. He joins the party in the early part the game.
Gameplay
The Final Fantasy XIII will retain the command base battles. The ATB (Active Time Battle) system will come back it is, however, expected to be a modified form of its predecessors.
The E3 2006 trailer shows only a prototype of the battle system. Square Enix recently showed new footages in some Japanese magazines. It introduces a new interface. The smarmed creatures will have their come-back in Final Fantasy XIII.
Game Release
There are many rumors about the release of Final Fantasy XIII for sale. Square Enix warns people that any announcement of its release that will not come for them are not official and are not reliable. They further said that they will release Final Fantasy XIII on sale first in Japan on Playstation 3. Playstation 3 and Xbox versions will be release a little later in North America and Europe.
