Madden NFL 10
Electronic Arts is creating quite a buzz when Madden NFL ’10 for sale hits stores nationwide. This has been the longest running football game franchise in the history of the industry and has span across numerous gaming platforms. When it finally comes out late this year, you can buy Madden NFL ’10 for your Xbox 360 or your Playstation 3 gaming console. With its long history as well as some ups and downs, what would fans of the game franchise expect with this latest instalment?
For one, a first look and Madden NFL ’10 review of the game shows something that has never been included in the game play before, the referee. You can now see and even interact with the referee on the field while you play. They can take as much beating as the players as well. For those of you who are asking, it is yet confirmed if you can actually throw the ball at them.
Basically the game designers of Madden 2010 are giving a lot of time and effort in improving the overall look and feel of the game so that gamers will be able to experience an atmosphere of being in a live football game. It tries to reach a level of authenticity never before seen and as lead game designer Ian Cummings stated, “Everything about this game bleeds football.” This would certainly delight football and gaming fans alike. Another thing you will notice about the game is the added flash from the crowd as they take pictures of the game. However it seems that in time this can get annoying because they keep at it for the whole game.

Another key addition in the game is that the game developers improved the amount of players involved in gang tackling. Previous games would only have up to three players, which include the ball carrier, in gang tackling. With Madden NFL ’10, up to nine or even more players can get involved. This feature was made possible with the new Pro-Tak technology. Again, realism is enhanced with the decreased suction effect when a player goes for a tackle on the ball carrier. This also adds challenge for the defensive team which players would appreciate. They have also improved on how pockets form and how they give gamers another option in their offence. But despite this improvement, there is always that chance wherein the defence for the quarterback breaks down and gets mugged so now they are working on how the quarterback can react to this such as avoiding tackles and passing even while wrapped up.
Right now, there are a lot of things yet to be revealed about the game so there’s still room for even more improvement or whether or not they will succeed in creating a good balance between realism, challenge and fun. More news regarding Madden NFL ’10 on sale will come out in the annual E3 convention which means gamers will have to wait a while longer and for those looking to buy a used Madden NFL ’10 may need to wait until next year or so.
