For Prince of Persia fans out there, the long wait is over. Due to be released this December, the new series of the Prince’s adventures offers a whole new level of gaming. The awesome stunts and acrobatics, puzzle solving, and combat sequences will remain the way you love them and the few more additions that will excite you even further.
The new Prince of Persia introduces a new supporting character that will play a major role in the entire game. Her name is Elika, an olive-skinned girl, who is just like him, got caught in a world of corruption and evil. Together they will try to drive away the darkness spread by Ahramin who ruled this once mythical sanctuary when the Tree of Life was destroyed.

The new character brings a more sophisticated approach to gaming. Basically, Elika will become the Prince’s support in absolutely everything. She is equipped with magical powers that will help our hero go through every obstacle. In combats, it will always be a tag team against monsters. She is as agile and as flexible as the Prince so you can create a seamless flow of amazing combos in battles. She can also be a hand when the Prince is down on the ground, distracting the enemies while giving him time to regain his energy.
Her acrobatic prowess and magical powers go together perfectly. They come really useful when the Prince cut short on his jump or to break the fall. And with the Prince’s superhuman acrobatic ability, she must be at par to follow him as he climbs up and slide down walls, jumps wall to wall, or find a way through a very unusual path.
Elika also saves the Prince in any missed turns. Her magical power may serve as a compass that guides you to the right direction. Although it is said to be an open-world, where in you can author your own story and pathway, a compass still comes in handy.
Aside from new character, this successor to the Sands of Time trilogy, also debuts different moves. The “Slide” allows you to drift and glide on slopes reinforcing the fast-paced style of the game. The “Gripfall” gives you the ability to slide down walls and other vertical surfaces with the use of his gauntlet which also serves as his secondary weapon. And lastly, the “Roof Run” that allows you to navigate on the underside of a flat structure like ceilings.
The combat side is also a new development in this game. The fights are largely in two against one combat, giving gamers a boss-battle feel each and every time. The commands were also given a twist. There are main four buttons that you can use to make a spectacular combat sequence. The “Sword” button to use the sword for offense; the “Gauntlet” for grabbing and throwing; the “Elika Button” that calls Elika to do her share in fights; and the “Acrobatics” that can be used for dodging enemies and acrobatic team play with Elika.
