Street Fighter IV
Street Fighter IV is a fighting game released by Capcom that hit stores in 2008. This is the first-ever brand new numbered of the series since 1999. Before, this game was played at arcades. Home versions of this game will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 12 in Japan, February 17 in the United States and February 20 in Europe. The Windows version of the game will hit stores in the second quarter of the year.
Street Fighter IV has the backgrounds and models that have been rendered in 3D. Nonetheless, it is still the same game play as that of the2D plane that has been used in previous games of the franchise. Yoshinori Ono, the producer, intended to make the game still look like Street Fighter II. However, there is a new system in the game that is called the Focus Attacks. It has been introduced in this version. Gamers will also be using Ultra Moves. Six button control scheme remains and there are special moves and new features that come with the input system. This pretty much mixes the timeless game play with new inventions.

Gamers will kinda have the same feel of the game as that of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. The interesting thing about Street Fighter IV is that it also has features taken from Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. It is as if these games have been incorporated. The same rules apply. The buttons for light attack remain to be used for throwing, just as heavy attack buttons make the characters taunt their enemies. The medium attack buttons are now used for the newly invented focus strikes. The quick standing as well as the dashes of the characters remains in Street Fighter IV. Only C. Viper can jump that high among the other characters.
Bonus rounds like the car-smashing stage from the other Street Fighter games that have been released earlier would also be enjoyed by players of Street Fighter IV. Ono stated, though, that these bonus stages wouldn’t be available in the arcade game because this means additional time spent which means money taken away from the operators of the arcade.
The playable characters in Street Fighter IV are the original cast of Street Fighter II. These are Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, E.Honda, Blanka, Zangief, Guile, Dhalsim, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison. New characters are Abel who is a French mixed martial artist, Crimson Viper who is a female American spy, Rufus who is a fighter of Kung Fu, and El Fuerto, a Mexican luchador.
Bosses and hidden characters are Seth who is also called the Puppet Master. He is a Chief Exeitove Officer of the weapons division of Shadaloo. Akuma is another hidden character from the previous game that is also a hidden character in Street Fighter IV. Gouken is the elder brother of Akuma and is the sensei of Ken and Ryu. He is another hidden character which gamers can control. This is why the Street Fighter franchise is so successful. A lot of people just enjoy playing the game.
