Can you help Afro Samurai become the number one warrior? Afro Samurai, developed by Namco Bandai and published by Surge is a third person action game based on the action anime Afro Samurai. Players will assume the character of Afro and help him fight his way to becoming “Number One”. Help him fight his way through groups of ninjas, assassins and samurais. Fans of the action genre will get more than just the slice and dice action typical of sword fighting games. Catch Afro Samurai on sale on late January 2009.

PLOT
Afro Samurai is based on the anime of the same name. In this fictional samurai world, there are two powerful bands that endow its owners with god-like fighting abilities. The “Number One” band is the most powerful, thus making its owner the top fighter in the world. He can only be challenged the owner of the “Number Two” band who must, at least, match his god-like prowess. The story will revolve around a black samurai with a prominent hairstyle. Afro, aptly named for his signature hairstyle, is on a quest to become “Number One”. Justice, the current “Number One”, can only be challenged by the wearer of the “Number Two” band. Afro is the current “Number Two” and is therefore eligible to challenge and defeat Justice. (more…)

Star Ocean, the hit game series developed by tri-Ace and Enix, comes up with another installment which will delight every gamer who is quite hooked with science fiction action. The new game, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, is primarily developed for the Xbox 360. Most people await the release of this installment because of the promising features that it brings.

The Star Ocean franchise takes on a similar story such as the classic Star Trek. The game features different levels of emotion for each character, a battle system which works on a real-time mode, and in-battle voices. These features of the original franchise has lead the developers to produce several sequels which were all loved by gamers all around the world, until it has settled for yet another installment, the Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
