First-person shooting is among the most popular genres of computer games. It was immensely popular especially when the game Counter Strike was introduced for the PC. Then, lots of other first-person shooting games arrived not only for the PC, but also for other gaming consoles. At present there are various game titles that you can choose from with the first-person shooting genre. But not all of them are really good. Some first-person shooting games lack the charm that the most famous first-person shooting games has. So if you want to buy a first-person shooting game that is truly amazing, then you better try Section 8.

Section 8 is a new first-person shooting game for the PC. It is also available on other gaming consoles like the PS3 and the XBOX 360. TimeGate Studios, the team that created the original F.E.A.R. expansions, developed this wonderful game. Section 8 is for sale by fall of this year. The upcoming third-person shooting game, Terminator Salvation on sale starting May 12, 2009 will certainly make everyone excited. The game is available to play with on a lot of platforms. Buy Terminator Salvation and play it on your Xbox 360, PS3, PC and even in your own iPhone!

Terminator Salvation review is not yet available but here is a sneak peak nonetheless. The game is a third person shooting game where you need to constantly attack and defend at the same time. Battle SkyNet enemies, the same enemies in the film counterpart, as well as new enemies only designed for the game.

You will be playing as John Connor. You will save mankind from the brink of extinction. You are mankind’s only hope. You will have an ally following you all around the game – Blair Wilson. Blair can also be played by a second player as there is a split screen feature. This feature is not available online though. Playing with a co-op lets you revive your partner as many times as you want. You have to be careful when reviving your partner as you might leave yourself open for the robots to feast on you. When people talk about first-person shooting games, they would always mention Call of Duty. Call of Duty has been a favorite among first-person shooting games. What is Call of Duty? Call of Duty is a famous first-person shooting game that is published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward. The theme of this first-person shooting game is the world war. The gameplay of Call of Duty is all about single-player campaign and missions. Call of Duty is very similar to Medal of Honor, another impressive first-person shooting game but there is a major difference. Medal of Honor tells the story of world war in an American soldier’s point of view. On Call of Duty, however, not only tells the story of world war from American soldier’s point of view, but also on the viewpoint of Soviet and British Soldiers. Call of Duty was first seen on Sony Playstation.

Newer versions of Call of Duty are also available on other systems such as the XBOX 360, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii in addition to PS2 and PS3. At present, Call of Duty brings its fans more excitement and hours of gameplay with its online multiplayer mode. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has become one of the famous games played on XBOX 360 Live on a multiplayer mode. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare offers multiplayer mode at its finest. You get to play with up to 18 characters on 16 different maps. These maps include nice views for snipers and cramped up places on which grenades and snipers become very useful. Chris Redfield is back and he is with one hot local chick. After 10 years of absence, the Resident Evil brings back its first lead man in its fifth offering. Resident Evil 5, scheduled to be released on the first quarter of 2009, promises another hard-hitting, action-packed, and liters of blood spilling shooting game for you to enjoy. It will have the same feel of the gameplay and control as the previous series at the same time showcases ground breaking developments.

The sequel to Leon S. Kennedy mission picks up from where they left off in Resident Evil 4. This time Chris is en route to Africa to investigate a spread of viral infection.  No longer a part of his old team in STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Service), he is now giving service to Bioterrorism Security Alliance or BSSA.
