CLASSES AND HEROES:
There are four playable classes within game: warrior, scout, archer and mage. Warriors are your basic hack and slash character. Scouts are your stealth soldiers, utilizing speed, cunning and strength for surprise attacks. Archers specialize in long-range attacks.

Mages are the support class. They can heal other characters and can do long-range attacks with their magic. The heroes can be unlocked after some time in the game, although they can be played only for a limited time. They perform as super-charged soldiers on their class, that is, Aragorn as a super-charged Warrior, Legolas as an exceptional Archer and so on. Other playable heroes are Frodo, Gandalf, Elrond, Faramir, Isildur, Eowyn and Gimli. They can also be unlocked at certain battle scenarios, such as in the Mines of Moria during the battle with the Balrog.
After finishing the Good Campaign Mode, players can unlock the Evil Campaign Mode. Gamers will start as Ringwraiths on the haunt for the One Ring. The mission is to deliver the ring to Sauron and conquer Middle Earth. Players can rampage around the battlefields, burn down villages and destroy fortresses. Playable characters are trolls and fell beasts. Accessible villains are Sauron, Saruman, Witch-king, Nazgûl, Balrog, Lurtz, Mouth of Sauron and Wormtongue.
BATTLE GROUNDS
The Lord of the Rings: Conquest lets gamers experience the battles from the movies and books. Players will have to defend Helm’s Deep from the Uruk-hai, join the Ents against Saruman at Isengard, traverse the dark mazes of the Mines of Moria and engage the Balrog in battle or engange Sauron’s armies at Osgiliath, Minas Tirith and the Pelennor Fields. Additional battle grounds are also playable such as Minas Morgul and Black Gate. In the Evil Campaign Mode, gamers can fight for the side of evil. Players can rout the heroes’ armies at the major battle fields or spread terror at the Shire, engage Aragorn in battle at Weathertop or defeat the elves at Rivendell. As the game progress, characters’ have access to more special abilities and moves. The online co-op mode can be played up to 16 players with 8 players on each side.
