A game that was still under development when Activision and Vivendi merged, WET was one of those games that looked like it was never going to get a chance to be finished. Fortunately for the game, it was picked up by Bethesda and now is on its way to computer store shelves sooner than later. Gamers will be able to see WET on sale maybe late this year or early next year which means that those who would want to buy used WET game would have to wait a lot longer.
The game was first introduced two years ago at a Sierra conference and this is where gamers were able to get a first look at the game. From there, gamers would expect WET to be something of an acrobatic shooter based on a 70’s action movie which looks and feels like a Quintin Tarantino vision. The main character of the game is a woman named Rubi who works as a fixer. The game features the heroine kicking multiple butts at the same time. The game even lets the player lock on to an enemy with an auto lock feature with one hand and free aim with the other for multiple attacks at once. The WET review video of the game shows Rubi performing double knee slides, back flips and even run up walls while shooting and chopping at here adversaries. A scene even showed Rubi sliding down a ladder using only her legs while shooting at the bad guys.

The game features a life bar system as well to indicate her health and whenever it needs replenishing, she simply cracks open a bottle of whisky and chugs it down. No wonder she can do all those moves in slow motion. With multiple weapons, some ranged and others melee style, the gamer will be able to perform a variety of combos and tricks to take out as much of the enemy as possible in a single swoop.
When WET for sale hits stores, you can expect to play an action filled game with more than just the familiar button bashing style as you can do a multitude of attacks using different controls. Although, the problem with this system may stem out of this feature as well as it will need complicated control schemes to pull off which some gamers may find frustrating. It will be interesting to know how they will be able to give WET interesting and easy to use controls.
Another interesting part about the game is its length which seems to last around eight to ten hours of game play in single player mode. This means that you will be able to get good entertainment value when you buy WET. Not only that, the game offers a fresh perspective on the action game genre which is a good thing with today’s gaming enthusiasts. Gamers can also expect WET to come out in Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as well as Playstation 3. Driven by an interesting style, mysterious story and intense visual graphics, people can expect big things with WET.
